Can motherboards get wet?!?!?!?!

Specs: Windows 7, Core 2 Duo

I see he only put oil up to the power supply, but from there to the bottom everything is covered in oil. Does that mean motherboards can get wet? What about the harddrive? What if water gets in it?

Usually one does not associate oil with getting wet. So it would depend on what your getting it wet with. That honestly seems like the dumbest thing I've seen in a long time. For starters, he's using vegetable oil which will go rancid. And who knows what the long term affects the oil would have on plastic parts. I would stay far away from that one. No, hard drives are not completely sealed, they have a small air hole. They cannot be submerged in anything.
