Hi, I have a USB mouse device and would like to connect it 25m away from the PC which has both USB & serial ports. Can I use a serial/USB adaptor at the mouse and run a 25m cable from the serial (RS232) port on the PC to the serial on the adaptor at the mouse?
Or should I use a USB/serial adaptor at the PC end as well?
Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

How about just getting a serial mouse? I wouldn't be surprised if a local computer repair shop would give you one gratis.

Search on www.google.com and use "usb repeater"
without the quotes.

or how about KVM [keyboard/video/mouse] usb switch? After all you are going to need more than just the mouse 25m away.
