do you not like formatting drives or not know how to do it ? Fdisk and format the thing if you want to use it as a boot master or slave.

Reply: (edit)Ello does have a valid point. OK so I'm not entirely sure what it is either! Macs speak Mac and PCs speak wintel, even exchanging floppy disks carries a challenge. What is it that you want to do? Are you trying to recover files or recycle a hard disk?

Yes, the challenge of using the right tool for the job. MacDrive is the right tool for this particular job. That being said, unless you need to continue using the hard drive in a Macintosh, or you have no other way to get the data off the drive, I would agree that you might as well just format it in Windows.
