Solved Can I access files on old (XP) hardrives w/ Sabrent Adapter?

Dell / Inspiron one 2320

Specs: Windows 7, 3.3 GHz / 4001 MB
Will this adapter allow me to power up and access the files (docs & images) on some old hard drives that were removed from a few XP systems?

I currently have a Dell All-In-One Model A421SBQ1. Is the fact that the adapter is USB 3.0 going to be a problem?

Are there other options that I should consider?

Thanks!

I've got older USB 2.0 versions of those, and I've never had a problem with it. I haven't tried it on a 2TB+ disk, but XPs rarely had that much storage available.

Thanks.

I see that 2.0 version is only $12.99. I'll need to check the specs on my Dell but I don't think the ports are 3.0, so why spend the extra $10?

I don't see an AC power cord included with that one. I have the same exact unit linked below and it works great.

Better to power using AC instead of a USB port.
