Comment:

I recently replaced my motherboard because one of the DIMM slots was found to be faultly. My fixed PC just 'froze up' on me for the 2nd time since (About a month).

Can the RAM stick that was in the faultly slot have been damaged? And can this damage spread to my new board's slot?

Should I replace the stick that was in the original damaged slot? Or am I just being paranoid? But I don't want to 'wait and see' in case something bad happens.

Thanks in advance.

Sometimes OEM(cheap) memory can have varying timing problems. I would be sure to buy some modules bearing Brand name chips.
