I have looked threw your Data Base and could not find an exact answer or on that got threw my ignorace on the subjuct.
I have an ASUS A7V8X M.B. and would like to set it up to take audio / vidio out from panasonic camcorder. The book for CC say to use a fire wire. OKAY my delima, I have no extra A / V input on PC and have a place for the IEEE-1394 connecter on MB. But nothing between MB and back of case.
The firewire input.
What hardware do I need to set the connection from CC to PC threw the IEEE-1394
input slot on MB.
Do I need a program to run the vidio from CC?
Would a PCI card to smooth the way between CC and PC be easyer?
The CC maker refers brifly to the connection in the handbook and no ref. on the website.
Thank you for any and all input.

Easy way is PCI card as these are quite cheap.

It will be worth buying some editing software.

I currently use Pinnacle Studio 9. This is very easy to use and you can create all sorts of effects, crop clips, colour correct, etc, etc

The software plus PCI card and cable can be had for about 50 UK pounds from AMAZON
