Hello Helen,
Using a capture card or the firewire ports that came with your pc?Leon Wisnensky

pinnacle is looking for a firewire connection and you said you're connecting via USB. I would think somewhere in Pinnacle would allow you to change to look for USB device. However, if your camcorder will do firewire, I would suggest for you to get a firewire card.

According to the Pinnacle website listed specifications for Studio 9, the hardware requirements are for firewire (i-link) PC connection. USB is not supported. Sorry. If you are using a desktop PC, and have a spare PCI slot, a firewire adapter and cable can be had for less than $30. there may be alternate software applications that support USB available for download somewhere, I didn't look.

Ulead looks for USB and has a 30 day free full working trial, available at ulead.com.
Tried DVDmovie factory 3.5 and have v. 2+se and both detect my usb cam.Leon Wisnensky
