Yea...At my work we use a program called AutoCIVIL and it requires a protection dongle, and i was wondering if there is an easy way to bypass/crack this..because we need it on 2 computers..I was thinking about using a t-printer cable with 2 males and a female...attach the males to the 2 computers and the female to the printer..Will this work??

Why not use the original software CD-ROM in the other computer and leave the protection dongle in the other.Sharing the same printer on a local network should be the answer but I would advise against improvisation.See your local adminisatrator or computer supplier.Good luck.

WEll, it looks for the dongle on the serial port of the computer regardless of the cd being in the drive...

This entire post will probably get pulled, cause you are asking for a "hardware hack." There is no way to bypass the dongle, short of getting a counterfit one.
The software you are using will only run if it detects the dongle. Some dongles are so that software can only be used on one pc. Others have "units" that are used on a per-use basis and then more units have to be purchased.

What is stopping purchasing another copy of the application with its own dongle.
You advise this is for a company so they must have funds for this. Often second and subsequent copies can be obtained at a discount.
I notice everyone is careful not to use the P word here.
Good luck - keep us posted.
