Hi

What should i look for (apart from price) in buying a DVD writer?

What is the difference between + and - R?

Is zoning a problem (as it is with many computer DVD drives) Note: I am in New Zealand so get a lot of Zone 1 and Zone 4 DVDs.

There’s basically no difference between the two,
DVD+R is slightly more advanced then DVD-R but more players support DVD-R.

And about the zoning, I don't think it should be a problem, there are lots of programs to help you get around that.
