Comment:

Writeable disk drive will start to write Audio files to a disk, but then after only writing the first track it finalizes and gives me a could not write tracks to cd or it says that I need to insert a cd when I have just put in a brand new one. Also it says that Drives e and d have no memory available. What can I do to clean them up if the disk cleanup in Windows fails to clean any of it up? Help please I have tried everything I know to do?

Please Help,
Brina

You need lots of free space on your C partition (logical drive) when you are burning a CD, and even more when you burn a DVD.
What size is your C partition (logical drive), and how much free space does it have?
(one way to find out - RIGHT click on the drive letter, choose Properties)

If D and E are optical drives (CD or DVD drives), whether or not there is free space available on the CD or DVD in the drive depends on what type of disk is in the drive - only burnable disks can have free space, and you probably will only be able to see that when you use your burning software.

If D and E are hard drive partitions (logical drives) what size is your D and E partition, and how much free space do they have on them?
(one way to find out - RIGHT click on the drive letter, choose Properties)
.......

You may get messages about a logical drive not having enough free space on it, but you do not get messages about them not having enough memory.

If you are getting messages about insufficient memory, your C drive is probably too full.
