Burned DVD won't play on apple laptop.

Specs: Windows XP
I have a Panasonic combination vhs/dvd player/recorder. I have copied vhs tapes to dvds which will play on one of my dell pcs, but won't play on another Dell pc or on an apple laptop. My PCs both use Quicktime. Can someone tell me if I am recording onto the wrong type of DVD or what I need to do especially to be able to play the dvd on the apple laptop? Thanks.

Many of those types of tv dvd recorders use a different file format. The owners manual would tell that and if you can change it to some other format.

One thing is that you may need to close the disk. It may be called finalize and that may fix it.

Another is to get VLC from ONLY www.videolan.org/vlc/

Other sites are putting maleware in and calling it vlc or something similar.
