All the burn in process is doing is testing the system under heavy processing loads and harsh contiditons. Basically, all the computer shops do when you order a new pc is keep the system (burn-in process, aka testing) for a day or two just to test it and ensure that you are getting a stable and working system. once the testing is complete and it seems the system will perform well it's shipped.
If you would like to burn in your new pc at home just load a heavily graphic intensive program like the game unreal, even the demo version would be good. Hope this helps.
