built-in card reader on desktop not detected onMy computer

Specs: Windows 7, AMD AthlonIIx4 620 2,60GHz/3GB
built-in card reader Not Detected on My PC.Don't see any extra drives When open "My Computer" (except C,D,E-which one is HD (C,D) and CD writer (E).PC one year old,build-in reader never was used why I can't say is it was working initially.If I go to "Cont.Panel-Syst&Security-Admin.Tools-Comp.management-Device manager-Computer-DiskDrives, I see Generic USB CF reader USB Device (MS reader,SD reader,SM reader as well) and if I left click on any of them, I see message "This device is working properly",but I still don't see them on "My computer".And I don't see them on Comp.management-Storage-Disk Management.

It will not show in computer unless there is media in it. If the media isn't partitioned and formatted it still may not show in Computer. Look in Disk Management instead.

Everything is fine on Disk Management, I see all four readers (SD,SF,SM,MS).Drivers up to date message "This device is working properly".Nothing change even after manual Start in Smart card section inComponent Services (status changing onto Started).Presume reader itself is rubish.
Card is SD HC 16Gb,formated.I try Sony Mem.stick DuoPro as well,formated.

That might be your problem. The card reader may not be capable of reading such a high capacity SD card. Try a lower cpacity SD Card and see if that works.
