Building new computer no video or system sounds

Specs: Windows XP
Assembled computer motherboard-ASRock 970 Extreme 3 AM3+ R, CPU-AMD 8 core FX-8120 3.1 GB, power supply-OCZ 700 watt, 8 GB OCZ RAM
All fans spin up heat sink, video card and case fans but no video I have tried a couple different brands of RAM and different video cards I have built a lot of computers what but not and AMD 8 core with 1 GB video card before what am I missing PLEASE HELP Thank you

Did you benchtest before assembling in the case? Are you certain you correctly connected power connector to the graphics card and spread the load across both 12V rails of the powersupply.
Do you get any BIOS beeps out of the board?

If you have the mboard mounted in the case, make sure you DO NOT have ANY metal mounting post under the mboard in a position where there is NO hole for a screw in the mboard, otherwise the metal post may be shorting something on the underside of the mboard.
