do i have to be a genius to build my first system.everyone here are very smart, i am not dumb and would like to make my own. where should i start, they sell barebones, make your own suggestions are what i need. what should i do to start. TH.ANK YOU MARIO

It's not that difficult. You can buy a PC kit, some of which include pretty good instructions, or there's plenty of help on the web:

You'll need to decide what you need. If you're just wanting something for basic internet, e-mail, office applications, then you can stick with the lower end of the scale. Gaming, modeling, CAD, etc. will obviously require something with more "horsepower"...

If you outline your typical uses and your expectations, we may be able to give you some suggestions. Also knowing what you have had recently and how that now fits your needs may also help. Of course, how much you are willing to spend (realistically) is also important.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
