Hello, I have a Buffalo WHR-G54S Wireless Airstation router. The problem I'm having is that every few days, or possibly every day, the router disconnects from the internet, seemingly. I say seemingly because although web pages will not load, active file transfers that I had going (torrents) are still able to download. If I simply turn my modem off and unplug the router, and restart everything, the router then works fine and I am able to connect to the internet. Is my router simply defective or is this a known issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have updated to the most recent firmware, and there are 2 computers attached to the router, one running XP SP1, and the other SP2
Thanks.

Cheap indeed....
However...check the router settings. I'm not sure what term Buffalo may use...but it is usually called the "LEASE TIME" ... or Lease Limit maybe.
Anyway...be sure that this is set for unlimited (meaning it will not disconnect anyone after any period of time).
The setting for this on most routers is simply 0 (zero).

Thanks for the advice. I can't set the lease period to unlimited, but I can extend it at least. This should help out a little.
Thanks
