Hello,

I've recently put together this computer that consists of:

Abit IS-7
Pentium 4 3.2Ghz Processor
Leadtek GeForce 6800 128Mb
Corsair TWINX 1024Mb PC4000 PRO Ram
Terratec EWX 24/96 Soundcard
1 x Samsung 160Gb
1 x WD 120Gb
Seventeam 400w PSU

At first all seemed fine, but then in about two weeks it rebooted twice... once when I tried to run Doom 3 in Ultra mode and then when I set AA and AF to maximum and tried to run Vice City. That is with default mobo settings.

As I tried to tweak it a bit, enabling CPC and running it in "Turbo" mode (one of Abit's settings for PAT), I get an immediate BSOD when I try to start windows (it was a reboot, but I disabled automatic reboot) with the following message:

Page_fault_in_no_paged_area

***Stop: 0x00000050 (0x906B942C, 0x00000000, 0x806BBD3A, 0x00000000)

What can I do to single out the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately they are. :(

Are there specific programs for me to test the ram, the videocard and the processor? If those aren't to blame it must be the mobo.

*SIGH*. I'm getting tired of this stuff, hardware is too whiny.

Thanks

Have you tried reseating the memory? Reseating the processor? Is the processor new? Is the mobo compatible with the (2 sticks?) memory? I have a mobo that takes only one stick of the fastest memory it can handle.

HTH

Yeah,

The processor is a brand new 3.2Ghz Northwood Pentium 4 and the mobo supports the 2 sticks of memory.

How does one reset the ram and the processor? Never heard of such a thing before.

Thanks.
