Hi, I've recently moved into university, and I constantly get blue screens of death when i establish a wireless (haven't tried with wired) connection.
Its wierd, i don't get any typical error messages, but I have noticed that occasionally it will say: "PAGED_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA".
This never happened at home where we used wireless networking everywhere.
I am running windows XP home with SP2 on an eMachines 210 (1500 MB RAM, 2.3GHz intel celeron processor).
When I connect to the wireless network (when windows connects automatically) I can then connect to the second one: I can dial into it, verify my username and password, but the second that it says "registering your computer on the network" i get the blue screen.
I've tried two wireless cards several times (i.e. re-installing each one etc), a d-link-g520+ and a buffalo one (unsure which) and they both give the same results so I assume its something wrong with my computer.
What might this be and how can i fix it? all help is appreciated, and i don't think i've left any crucial information out.
oh, and i used to get a "a duplicate name exists on the network" error on the logon screen, but this was fixed by changing the computer name. thanks.
