Ok, heres the story, yesterday i bought a new case and was transfering all my s--- over and apparently in the processes my onboard sound stopped working. Correction, half stopped working

On the restart up after relizing the only sound i was getting was what sounded like blowing wind at random times, the sound worked perfectly, and i thought it was fixed

now upon a few restarts later it is still broken, I cant describe the sound other than random spurts of noise that sound if wind is blowing.

can anyone tell me how or why this is happening and how to fix?

Try other amplified speakers.
Try uninstalling, re-installing the drivers.

If that doesn't work, disable the onboard sound and gameport in the bios, and get yourself a sound card.
