I need to make a recommendation here..

If you need to replace the hard drive and you're asking this question, you better leave the casing of the HD alone.

To replace the drive is extremely simple.. pull it out from the inside and look at its type (SATA or IDE), and make note of what type it is. You can go on newegg.com or amazon.com and look for hard drives. The actual size compared to the broken one doesn't matter, as long as the HD type is the same.

I hope this helps!

Hey there, and thanks for your reply. I was unclear about certain things in my original post I think :) I've been working as a computer tech since 1999, so replacing harddrives is not hard for me. The Asus model I'm referring to in my post is a bit different though - it's built like an iMac (the one where everythings integrated into the monitor). Like this: http://static.trustedreviews.com/94...

Anyway, I found the solution here, so I thought I'd share it with you:

But again - thank for taking your time to reply!

I never got into those all in one systems myself and I see what you mean now.. very interesting.
