when i plugged my SONY DVD ROM to my PC,at the first time it boot properly and i can watch DVDs as well.but when i shutdown the PC and start it again from the begining it doesnot boot.it will stuck at the WIn XP booting window.
but,if i restart without Shutdowning no Prob occur.its working properly.
And also to work with the DVD ROM again i have to unplug the ROM run once the PC and shutdown it,then plug the DVD ROM and start from he begining.

This is with NO disc in the DVD? If that is the case, it seems the DVD drive is not initializing. I would get another one if your power supply is capable of powering all your drive(s). How many do you have and what is your power supply rated at?
If it does it only with a DVD in the drive, it's the DVD.

no men it cant be that coz i only got floppy drive and dvd drive only...but i did got my dvd installing software...yesterday i checked my dvd driver with my friends PC it worked realy well.them i thought prob in my PC and barrow his SAMSUNG dvd drive and fixed it to my one and checked.it also worked properly...
