Hi,

I have two pretty strange problems with my computer.

(1) The problem started 2 weeks ago. When I push the power button, my computer starts and the fan goes on. But... noting happens, I don't hear the (booting)-bieb and the only visible things that works are the green power-on light and the fan. At first, putting the computer off and starting it up again would solve the problem...

But after a few days I had to turn the computer on and off a couple of times before the computer would boot up properly.

And since this week, the power button does not react most off the times (say once in 10 pushes), for powering the computer of I have to push the button for 10 seconds, and I have to repeat the above described procedure about 15 times.

So it takes about 5 minutes before I can start my computer.

(2) Moreover, when I finaly have started windows, my taskbar and all normal windows-things show up, including virusscan and spywaredetector etc. But starting programs like word, internet, games etc all don't work for about 2 minutes (but my computer isn't doing anything). However I can play patience and some other programs, and the spywaredetector runs normaly. But closing the patience window, spyware-window and any other opened window is impossible. After 2 minutes or so, my computer begins to work again and everything is normal.. This problem has started about 3 months again.. (and again in the beginning this would happen about once in the 3 times and now happens all of the times).

Please help me... I really don't know what the **** is wrong with my computer!

It might be a bad PSU.

Is your power supply fan and all other fans working properly?

You may need to do an enternal cleaning of your computer.
