Hello, I bought a 60gb Maxtor hard drive several months ago. I have been using it as a backup drive. I have just tried to install windows 98 on it so i can play games not supported by XP. When set as primary hard drive i get a BIOS error message saying "BOOT SECTOR VIRUS DETECTED" >How can i remove this virus as it will not let me install windows? the drive works fine in windows as a secondary hard drive and anti-virus software has not detected anything on the drive. I am pretty sure there is no boot sector virus on my primary drive as i have had the BIOS anti virus option on for well over a year. Thanks for any help.
