I just got an old PC and when I turned it on, all i get is a blank screen with a blinking cursor on the lefthand corner of the screen. ctrl+alt+del doesn't work. I think there is no bios. Is there any way to check if there is? If there isn't, how can I install one? Do I have to change the bios chip? Thanks..

If you get the blinking cursor, you got POST/BIOS. More like a BIOS setup problem or no memory. Try clearing the CMOS with the jumper or pull battery for 20 minutes. Is there a speaker hooked up so you can hear beeps.
