Boot order change?

What would cause a boot device to change besides changing it myself in the bios.

Using the system last night with no problems. Boot this morning and was asked for a boot disk. After poking around I found the boot order changed to my storage drive. Changed it back and it booted as per normal.

Now I know I didn't change it. I also don't think its the battery, because all other bios tweaking I had done was still the same.

Any ideas?

Bios order could be changed outside of normal bios by software either proper or malware. Unlikely. Sometimes we just don't know why.

All this computer stuff is just one step above not working. Don't expect too much.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
