How to boot a HP G72 laptop from a removable USB Flash drive?
Or at least, how to make a flash drive the primary device to boot from?

I mean, I don't see any USB Flash Drives listed in the boot choice menu.

The BIOS only allows for the following choices:

- USB Diskette on Key/USB Hard Disk
- USB Floppy
- Notebook Hard Drive
- Network Adapter

Where's the flash drive?

Try the 2nd choice.

What do you have on the flash drive?

^ I have something called "Reanimator Live CD/USB".
It's a Russian software package that resolves problems with your PC.
It is supposed to be bale to boot from a USB flash drive.

I tried all the boot devices that the BIOS offered me. No luck.
Could be the Russian package, though.

HP has the how to on their site.

Many flash drives tend to show up as a hard drive order choice. The flash drive has to be inserted before you power it on. Then go to bios to change drive order.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
