I've formatted and reinstalled win xp on and it boots fine, once. After you shut it down/restart it, the same message reappears again.
Ive changed the HDD for a brand new one, ive removed all the PCI cards, Changed the RAM, changed the CPU, even changed the Power supply and ive still got the same problem.
I've tried different IDE cables, and tried putting the hard drive on the other ide connector on the motherboard.

Howdy:Just wondering if you CMOS Battery in very Good Condition?
on the Other hand I was thinking If your HDD Jumper Set as a Master?
Because Some Hard drive does not like to have a jumper on
the master pin, so change it to cable select
and See if that will fix your problem
Bon Courage ..

If the CMOS battery has failed, usually you will get an error after the memory test that says. "Checksum error" or something like that. You said the "same message reappears again" What is the message? Is Boot Disk Failure the message you are seeing? If so, you may have installed your IDE cable misaligned. The red stripe coincides with pin 1 of both the HD connection and the motherboard "primary IDE" connection. You have to look real close on the board, it should have a very small 1 next to pin 1. Same for the harddrive. Some manufacturers are better than others at marking pins.
