BluRay movie plays with all sounds, but voice

Specs: Windows 7
I have played a DVD and 2 different BluRay movies in the formats of .mp4 & mkv and I have not been able to accomplish getting voices to happen. Everything as sound goes works perfectly on every other movie file that is not BluRay but rather simply .avi. I have a 5.1 surround sound Logitech speaker system perfectly connected and had a technician tweak my sound card settings. I have tried AC3filter, powerDVD player, VLC, WMP11, Classic123 player, and still cannot get voices in those movies. The surround works perfectly which doesn't bring me doubt that I am running 5.1 instead of 2.0, but that might be the problem.... Please help me out if you've had this same problem!

I have LOTR-2Towers in mkv blueray format and I had the same problem. I tried multiple different video players and none had vocals, but did have good surround sounds, like environmental sounds and music. The problem turned out to be that I have HD Audio with 8 minijacks, and you are supposed to use 3 or 4 of them on HD Audio, 5.1 and 7.1 surround, respectively. Well I was just using 1 minijack set to Front Speakers, sending that to a 2.0 speaker system. In my case, I had to configure that minijack to sent Center channel (the normal vocal channel) to get the vocals to appear. For me, not even headphone output worked, which should be getting all the channels. It was sending the vocals exclusively to the Center channel, which is the normal channel for voices in HD audio.
