If this is new and you got a manual with it, read it. It will show you diagrams of how to hook up the different combinations of components.

Samsung makes good manuals.
Read the manual !
If you don't have it, download it from a Samsung web site !

You don't mention the make of your TV, which is the most important bit, but with Bluray you just plug an HDMI cable from the Samsung to any HDMI input on the back of the TV. If your cable box is HD as well then it should also have an HDMI connector, so use this to another HDMI input on the TV - If it's a standard cable box then it will probably be a SCART connection. When you've done that, switch on & away you go.

By the way, DON'T SHOUT - it gets people's backs up.

"By the way, DON'T SHOUT - it gets people's backs up."

Typing something in all capital letters in a post on the web is considered to be the same as if they were shouting, and very rude.
