Comment:

I have just finished building my new PC.
It boots but i recieve a blank screen on the monitor. I tested it out with a different monitor but the same problem occurs. So logically I turned to the graphics card as the problem which is a "PCI-e BFGtech Geforce 7800GT OC". It is properly placed in the correct PCI-e slot for single card use, the PCI-e power conector is secure in the graphics card and the monitor is also plugged in both to the card and to the mains but still i recieve no image. So... what is the problem, and how do I fix it?

Do you get any beep codes?

I recently built a pc and had the same problem as you...I thought it was a duff mobo but I found out the LED and power/reset switch connecters were plugged into the wrong sockets on the mobo. Double check these as on my mobo there were two places to plug in these connecters.

AYYYY! I have now fixed the problem, fairly simple actually. basically i didn't have the 12V 4 pin connector plugged in. Basically my old system didn't require it and i msut have overlooked it.

I've made both of those errors. They are good things to think about when a new build won't fireup .... which seems to be a common problem for people posting int his forum.
