Hi all, here's one for you:
The DTK 440BX (PRM-27I) motherboard I'm using supports AGP 2X and a 133MHZ FSB (through a BIOS option). The computer boots fine with an ATI Rage Pro 8MB AGP 2X card but will not boot the new Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB card I recently purchased. The new Radeon card is AGP 2X/4X/8X certified so theoretically since the old Rage 2X card is working, so should the Radeon.

However, upon installing the Radeon nothing is displayed on the screen at boot, there are no beep codes sounding, and the monitor goes into sleep mode a few seconds after boot. There are no BIOS options for changing any AGP specifications whether voltages or the like.

The Radeon was installed under the best conditions: default FSB (so computer is not overclocked), new Antec 380W PSU, and no other cards installed but the Radeon. I always get a blank screen... Every power and adapter connection is secure: switching immediately back to the Rage card gives me back my computer!

i'm stumped here?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

thanks
ryan

Have you tried the Radeon on another system to be sure that it's not defective?

Ryan, I just had a similar problem with 2 ATi cards. You must boot your computer with the old card then remove all video drivers, then shut down. Install new card then reboot and hopefully it works. Now for the bad news.......I did just that and mine still didn't work. I ended up wiping out my hard drive and reinstalling everything, but worked pefectly after that with no problems. Let me know what happens
