blank screen installing usb

i bought usb 2, via technologies pci card (vt6202)....after installing it and starting my computer...my monitor screen turns blank i.e. there is nothing on the screen....i removed the card and the monitor worked fine.. i repeated this several times and nothign worked... i think it has something to do with the irq problems but i m not sure how to play with those... i have an ati radeon 9000 pro... with a samsung 753df monitor...a via motherboard and an award BIOS...any help?? i also tried different pci slots..
