Black screen after i put my ram back!

Hello ! i ve got a problem with my Ram i suppose. Yesterday, i opened my laptop just to have a look how many slots i have in my laptop for the Ram, it was just 2 slots : 1 GB in one slot and 2 GB in second slot. I took them out just to have a look at them, then i put them back and my laptop doesnt work now, i have a black screen !! So far i tried to put them many times out and in, doest help. When iam switching laptop on, its seems to be working, but i have black screen !! help please!

Hmmm, this is probably not the problem at all but doesn't hurt to try. Start the computer and hit the CRT/LCD button, usually the F8 key. You probably have to use the Fn key + F8.

Why did you remove them? There are plenty of ways you could have determined how many RAM slots you have & what size/type of RAM were in them without physically opening the cover & removing the RAM. The only thing it could possibly be is the RAM re-installation. Hopefully you removed the battery & the AC adapter before messing with the RAM modules?

Iam pressing fn + F8 nothing going on, its still black :(

Try turning on the computer with only one stick of RAM installed. Swap it with the other stick if it still doesn't work.

Also, if possible, connect your laptop to another monitor and see if you get an image there. You may have to use Fn+F8 to display the image onto the other monitor.

Always ground yourself when opening up a computer. The static electricity from your body can damage the components.
