Hi, I want to update my bios, but I'm kind of freaked out that I could kill my mobo.
I'm using a fatl1ty aa8xe mobo and I can use this μGuru flashmenu software that downloads and installs the latest bios update while in windows.
How can I update my bios beening sure that I'm not going to kill my mobo?

If you have never done it before then you should definately read into it first so you will know what to expect and what you can do if it does go wrong. If you are not having any trouble with your system you shouldn't do it. Bios updates are released because of bugs that are found. Read into what that particular Bios update is for and if it will fix a problem that you are having then it would certainly be worth it. But if not, then you shouldn't do it just for the sake of doing it.

I strongly recommend against flashing the BIOS from within Windows. This just adds more things that could go wrong. As was already indicated above, you shouldn't do this unless absolutely necessary. That means some hardware won't function properly without the flash.

Well, I don't think I need it, but if so maybe later, I just want to know how to stay away from the possibility of a dead mobo.

Use only trusted sites
if you realy need to.
If you have a dell they have flash upgrades on their website.
Most bios upgrades will tell you if you actualy need to upgrade or not.
Some upgrades are not even worth upgrading to.
They may only contain a logo for your post screen or somthing stupid like that.
