FIRST TIMER HERE AND AM HAVING TROUBLE LOADING BIOS FROM ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 MO. I USED OLD CD ROM AND FLOPPY FROM 12 YEAR OLD COMPAQ. BIOS STARTS UP BY SAYING "CAN'T FIND FLOPPY" AND "CAN'T FIND CD ROM". IS THIS EQUIPMENT JUST TOO OLD FOR THIS MO, OR MIGHT I HAVE TO INSTALL NEW UPDATES FOR MO TO RECOGNIZE ROM AND FLOPPY? THIS IS THE ERROR IM GETTING "ERROR! THE BIOS IS TOO OLD, OR NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CURRENT MOTHERBOARD HARDWARE"

If the floppy is that old you will have to find the drivers for both, in the olden days everything had a driver. Look at the back of the floppy and CD-rom to see if there is a manufacturer listed on any label, you can start from there. There are several web sites where you (might) find them.
