This may seem a bit complicted to some & silly to some. But i will still go ahead and ask it.

I have a i810 mother board. The problem with it was till yesterday it was working fine. But i recieved a error when i booted it today morning. Checksum \CMOS Setting Wrong

Press F1 to run set up &
Press F2 to continue.

I pressed F1 because i knew that in my motherboard probably battery is low & replaced the battery.

Then i loaded Default settings by entering setup & then it asks me for Selecting the CPU speed. But when i select it & save it it is not getting saved.

Then i though probably some chips / wire may be loose so it is not saving the changed CPU speed of CPU. Then i turned off the PC. and then tried pressing some chips / Capacitators / Transistors. and now the PC wont have the initial screen too.

At the time when i was getting the initial bios screen One default setting that i changed that might have caused this is i chged the VGA Card option from Add-ON Card to On-Board Card( But then i am not very sure).

Any suggestions what could be wrong.?????

ANY ANY Help is Greatly appreciated.......

I'm not sure about the BIOS not saving problem.

If you changed the VGA from add on card to onboard, you will need to change the monitor cable to the onboard socket in order to see what's going on and to allow you to change it back.

clear the cmos again, use the onboard videoport instead of addon card. now pressing "some chips / Capacitators / Transistors" is not a smart move as you might have damaged them if you still cannot get post screen up
