Can anyone help? I was recently flashing the BIOS on my motherboard which appeared to be going through successfuly! I downloaded the correct files from the manufacturers website (PCChips) and the Flah utility, started in Pure DOS mode and input the correct commend to flash the BIOS. I was given the correct messages and advised that it was the correct BIOS file i was trying to install. I hit the enter key and everything looked to be loading but then the screen went blank.......Now when i try to boot up the floppy drive light comes on and nothing happens (just a blank screen) are there any files i can install on a floppy that will allow me to load the BIOS from a disk?

I have never heard of this problem but(It is risky) You could take out the battery on your motherboard to wipe the bios and it SHOULD go back to factory settings(it does not always work) so do it at your own risk.
When you say pure DOS did you use a Win9x/ME or MSDOS boot disk??? or did you hit F8 at start up to go into DOS??
Using a boot floppy is correct way!

I used a boot floppy disk to access Pure DOS, went throught the proper procedure to flash the BIOS and it seemed to be going OK when the screen went blank and stayed in that state. Now when i switch on it just keeps reading the floppy drive
