Reply: (edit)Try unplugging the PC and remove the CMOS battery for a couple of minutes. In most cases, that will clear all settings including the password. It probably has a coin size battery which are easy to find and remove with a small screw driver. Some older PC's don't use coin size CMOS batteries, however. Those are a little more tricky to remove, and I will go into more detail if you discover that's what is on the MB.

Reply: (edit)http://www.utilitygeek.com/details.php?action=download&fileid=82 Download the Killcmos program, copy it to a boot disk and run it from a dos prompt to get rid of any password present for the bios. You will have to review the bios to save the configuration data in the CMOS memory before you can run the computer again.Normally you don't need to reinstall the operating system to get the computer to work. Some antivirus message may appear :this is normal for the procedure(simply allow the program to run) and it is fast and effective.Good luck.
