Here is the new problem..?
The first time I turned the computer on with everything properly connected! It boots up with 2 short beeps then 1 beep, and goes to the screen that gives you the option of F1 for BIOS setting, or F2 Load default values and continue. This, as I know it is a normal function. and of course now you have to reboot to load windows or do other processes..
When I go to reboot, the computer will not reboot unless I do clear BIOS and the whole thing starts all over again, The next time I did a start I got my 2 short beeps and 1 beep this time I went to F1 (set up) all I did was set time and date, it told me what I had for a hard drive and it also recognized my CD-Rom. I hit F10 to save and exit, and the process started all over again, It will not reboot unless I clear the BIOS/Cmos, I can get it to start with a Win 98 start up disk but as soon as I reboot it the same thing all over again.. I am trying to load Win XP Pro from the CDrom..
What is going on. Am I doing something wrong? or is there a trick that I don't know about?
P.S. I have double check all the connection, to the Floppy, HD, CDrom, Main board, and properly installed DDR512 down loaded the online manual, but could not find the problem I am having..
I have checked battery 3.10 volts and contacts seam to be OK
any help, thanks
