Bios Help

Hey all i am in real trouble here my system started acting strange lat night it would restart all by itself someone told me to upgrade my BIOS so i went to my boards site and looked for new Driver's i have a Chaintech 6via3 Motherboard the bios i had was for 08/01/2000 when i went there they only had bios to the same date i downloaded it htinking ill overwrite it .Let me add i have written bios's before all went fine and i opened awdflash and tried to write it i got this error "System was not new award bios version please update a ROM Bios first. i thought ok and rebooted then this thing came up "Award Boot Block Bios"Bios ROm checksum error and it asked for a floppy with awdflash i copied awdflash with a copy of the old previous bios(which i had made a backup before flashing) awdflash ran but it said it cant find the source file and when i copy the new one i copied it wont flash it give me the above mentioned ram error.What should i do im in need of help.

during the bios flash, your bios probably got corrupted
