Hi,

I got a small problem with my Bios not detecting my hdd at boot. When I first put the computer together it would not detect my CD-RW drive on IDE2, so I (as suggested here) switched IDE1 with IDE2 (CD-RW on 1, HDD on 2).

Now when I boot it detect the burner every time but not the HD, after I get boot disk failure I ctrl+alt+del it reboot and it detect both EVERY time. I wonder what is wrong now since it work everytime I reboot but never the first time.

Thx in advance

Check your mobo documentation / mfr forum. Look for any issues with the primary IDE channel not being recognized. There may already be a solution.

If you don't find anything, return the mobo for a new one (assuming it is still under warranty. If you don't want to go through the RMA, purchase a PCI IDE controller card and do not use the IDE on the mobo.

Sorry, I misread your post. You want to search for issues on the secondary ide channel, not the primary. The suggested solutions would remain the same.
