Bios doesn't recognize Hard D

I moved my computer from an old case to a new one but when I turned on it the Bios dosen't recognize the Hard Drive, I don't understan why, because before move it, everything worked perfect, The Type of Hard Drive is SATA, I tried with a IDE Hardrive but still no working even when de IDE hard Dirve works perfect in other computer that I have. If some body knows what to do, let me know thank you

Did you just switch system cases or is it a new motherboard as well. I heard that you have to install SATA drivers differently somehow when you get a new motherboard. I'm not sure because I haven't used a SATA drive before. The BIOS doesn't recognize your IDE drive either? How old is the BIOS and how big is your hard drive? What kind of system do you have?
Summary: hello, I have a new toshiba 2.5 hard drive...when i install it in my laptop the bios doesn't recognize it, but when i put it into a case and hook it up via usb xp doesn't have a problem detecting it.....

Summary: I do have the latest bios. The bios seesm to recognize only the original Samsung CD-ROM. After I Install XP using the Samsung CD-ROM I can replace the CD-ROM with anything. Win XP recognizes any CD/DV...
