I tried to fix it for 2 days GRRRRRRR... but it still doesn't work. If it's not cable prolem, master and slave problem. Could it be the motherboard? Is motherboard dead? HD and floppy are OK, anything on primary IDE is OK, anything on secondary IDE can't be seen by BIOS? Could it be motherboard? Plz help me

The same thing happened to my ASUS CUBX motherboard; the secondary IDE just quit working and would not detect any devices. I never did find a solution and I assume the motherboard just went bad. Be sure to check to see if your secondary IDE is enabled in the BIOS (if that option is in yours).

Ok, I had the same problem and here's how I fixed it: Once in Windows, click Start -> Run, then type regedit and hit enter. Do a search for noide and delete any key that this appears in.

I don't think Windows has much to do with the BIOS not detecting the secondary IDE. Did you do anything in particular before this started happening? Have you tried a different IDE cable to see if that might be the problem? And if you recently took the cable off are you sure you put it back on correctly with the pins matching? Usually motherboard is the last thing you blame.
