bios, aperture size

i am doing as much research as i can before i attemt to upgrade my graphics card this weekend. i was looking around in bios to see what options where offered on turning off my graphics card and came across this phrase...agp aperture size 64 mb. now, under settings,control panel,display,advanced it says - graphics processor:nvidia vanta. bus type:agp. on board mem:8mb. i am assuming that i only have an 8mb graphics card and that aperture size must be refering to something that is related to the graphics card.?

Set the aperature to aproxamintly 1/4 of your system RAM Not your graphics card. This is the amount of RAM the card can use from the system. The higher you set it the better the graphics look but the slower your system performs
