Your machine will support AGP graphics cards. Problem is the higher end cards need a 4 pin plug for power to the card. To run a higher end graphics card, you would probably need a new psu plus the cost of the card, you would be looking at probably $150 to $180 in new parts and still only have AGP graphics. If you're looking to make this machine into a gaming machine, you will still be limited to what games you can run. There are agp cards that don't require an extra power plug, but they're really not that good. Someone here will suggest a card for you to use. I'm not that savvy at graphics cards. What do you want to accomplish by beefing up the graphics?
Thank you all for the replys .I just wanna be able to run my battefield 2,and world at war and Bad Compny a little faster then present,even though right now they play pretty good no stalling in game play or lagging.I currently have a GF 6600 agp card.Just curious if a new one would do me much good .I notice some cards need Direct x 10.0,is this just for vista? I run xp nowYes my comp is getting to the point of replacement but I would like to get one more yr out of it.
