big problem

Ok i was having problems with the computer fan as it wouldent start atomaticaly so i baught an adapter thing so it would run derectly off the power it work perfectly the computer worked fine (for once) then when i put the case back on turned on the computer and it wouldent boot up. It is just a black screen the computer is on as the power light is on the fan is working but it does keep trying to read a cd when there is nothing in it, it just tries to read a cd over and over. So i tried putting in the win xp cd because i thaught it was trying to boot off it but that dident do anything and i havent got a clue what i sould try and do next. Please help

make sure that your video card/monitor adapter is plugged in all the way..and may sure all everything is connected properly connected in the computer

if that doesn't help, (checking the connections), then unplug your fan and see if that is causing the problem.

I had a fan with an adapter in it before, and accedentially created a loop in the power cords, (had a y plug, and ended up plugging both sides into the powersupply)
