Ok i was having problems with the computer fan as it wouldent start atomaticaly so i baught an adapter thing so it would run derectly off the power it work perfectly the computer worked fine (for once) then when i put the case back on turned on the computer and it wouldent boot up. It is just a black screen the computer is on as the power light is on the fan is working but it does keep trying to read a cd when there is nothing in it, it just tries to read a cd over and over. So i tried putting in the win xp cd because i thaught it was trying to boot off it but that dident do anything and i havent got a clue what i sould try and do next. Please help

if that doesn't help, (checking the connections), then unplug your fan and see if that is causing the problem. I had a fan with an adapter in it before, and accedentially created a loop in the power cords, (had a y plug, and ended up plugging both sides into the powersupply) Hope that helps!
