big black spots on Laptop screen

Comment:
I have an old Gateway solo 2100 Laptop that has 2 one inch black spots and 2 more 1\2" black spots on the screen. Are these just huge dead pixel areas? Moving the mouse along the screen it seems as though the cursor is going under these spots but this could just be an illusion. The spots are definitely not on the outside of the screen. This is a very old Laptop with Win95 but still functions fine except for these black spots. I just bought this for a few bucks so I don't know when the problem started.
That should explain. You probably need a new graphics card.

Those are most likely pressure spots and the best you can do is replace the screen.
This may or may not be a practical solution for sme people. If you check ebay, you should be able to get the screen or a solo 2100 sold for salvage parts.
