I've been looking around, and I'm not sure which option is best:

1. Sound card with a game port
2. Dedicated game card
3. Using a USB joystick (no game card/port needed?)

I want it to perform well...so if just getting a USB joystick is convenient but won't perform well, then it's not an option.

If it's 1 or 2, please specify which company makes the best card

I like USB joysticks better ( i have had both). They are much more convienant and run JUST AS FAST as the game port ones. Plus, you might need extra hardware for game ports.

I have also had some driver problems with game port Joysticks. Half the time they arent recognized.
