Specs: Windows Vista
What is the best way to clean up a motherboard that has a real sticky solution on it, such as coffee. The computer will turn on but it will not boot up, it just stays on the toshiba screen and that is it.

OK, that was weird. Let me try it again.

You can get electronic cleaners at radio shack or electronic supply stores. They're safe on the motherboard but can melt nearby plastic.

But as long as there's no power going to the motherboard (including the cmos battery) you can use pretty much anything. Just make sure everything is dry before you power it up. I once used windex and an old toothbrush on a P-I motherboard because a mouse had gotten in the case and done his business all over it.
