I just got my computer upgraded from 256 to 512 mb ram. I have a Pentium 3 1000 Mhz computer. I was just wondering what I should set the virtual memory initial and maximum setting to. Also what should the maximum registry size be at?

I always have a job with yardsticks that make Virtual Memory "proportional to RAM". It seems odd that if you add RAM you then need more VM to go with it, or that if you have a small RAM you need less VM. I would see the whole thing quite the other way around.

Setting a Min VM sounds fine (you reserve some) but again I have trouble with the idea of putting a Max on it. If Windows wants it why not let it use it?

Perhaps it's best to just let Windows manage VM....
